Cost and how I am paid

How much does Pinellas Senior Living Help cost?

There is no cost to your family. I am paid by the senior living community only if a placement is made. The consult, the short list, and tours are free either way.

 

Do I pay more at the community if I use you?

No. Your monthly rate is set by the community. My referral fee does not get added to your family’s bill.

 

What if we talk and never choose a community?

You owe nothing. There is no contract and no retainer.

What kinds of senior living do you help with in Pinellas County?

Independent living, assisted living, and memory care within Pinellas county Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Largo, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Seminole, Pinellas Park, Safety Harbor, Belleair, and nearby cities.

 

Can you help if we are not sure what level of care we need?

Yes. That is the first conversation. We sort what is happening at home now — meals, meds, mobility, memory, nights — and match that to the right setting instead of touring everything.

 

Do you only work with large communities?

No. I look at what fits the person, the budget, and the location. That can be a larger community or a smaller local option.

 

Do you provide home care or medical advice?

No. I help families compare senior living communities and plan the move. I am not a nurse, doctor, or home-care agency.

 

How do I get started?

How fast can we tour communities?

Often within a few days of the first call, depending on which communities fit and how quickly they can show you around. Hospital-discharge situations move faster.

 

Will you go on tours with us?

Yes, if you want me there. I can help you ask about staffing, medication support, activities, and move-in timing, then compare notes after.

 

Are you a national call center?

No. You work with me — Sandy Cantu — one local advisor in Pinellas County.

 

The house

can you help if we also need to sell the house? 

Yes. I am a Florida licensed Realtor® (SL3642627) and Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®). We can talk through the house at the same time as the community search so those are not two separate puzzles. If you would like me to list it, I am glad to do that. If you already have an agent, or you are not ready, that is fine too.

 

do we have to sell the house through you? 
No. Help finding a community does not require you to list or sell with me. If you later decide you want one person handling both, I can list the home — only if that is what you wish.
